Really, I'm (NOT) Fine

I haven't been posting on my blog for a couple of months because I'm caring for my sister who is terminally ill. So please bear with me that my posts will be sporadic at best. And this facetious Snark Attack card I'm sharing with you today really applies because I am soooo not fine.

Sleepy Sloth Tropical Oasis

This little Sleepy Sloth sure looks like he's pretty contented relaxing in his tropical oasis.

I started out with a kraft matte and stamped the stars from the NEW Sleepy Sloth clear stamp set onto the top portion.

Then I used the Burlap Background (love the subtle texture this pattern adds), and stamped it onto a Pierced and Stitched Circle.

For the bottom portion of the card I used the NEW Build-an-Island Die Set and cut it out twice, once from brown card stock and once from green card stock. Then just cut off the green palm fronds and layered them on top of the brown fronds.

The Sleepy Sloth was stamped on white card stock, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out. Then I layered him onto the burlap circle with foam tape and also added foam tape to the circle as well.

The sentiment was stamped on the same kraft card stock and popped up on foam tape for added dimension. The I matted everything onto a dark brown card base.

My mojo wasn't mojoing very well when I started on this card but I think it turned out pretty cute...what do you think?

I hope you relax and enjoy your day!

Cone of Shame - Well Played Human

OHmiGosh, that face...the sentiments for the Cone of Shame stamp set almost wrote themselves!
I can't stop myself from laughing whenever I see that dog!

Of course the Puppy Paws background (which are now back in stock) was the perfect background to partner with the NEW Cone of Shame clear stamp set.

The dog and doghouse were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. I seem to almost always have white feet on both cats and dogs when I color them, I guess I just really like sock feet :).

Once the coloring was completed I hand cut out both images, and added foam tape to the back of just the dog.

I used one of the NEW Wavy Stitched Squares dies as the black background and sponged on a little white ink for the shading under the dog and doghouse. I like how the images pop off the black, and it's such a cool die cut shape too.

I matted onto a red matte then onto a 5.5 x 5.5 card base

The sentiment (bahhaahaha) was stamped onto one of the Quick Strips dies and wrapped around to the inside of the card. You could also cut it off but I liked the wrapped look for this card.

Can't you almost feel this defeated guys resentment - LOL?!
Hope this gave you a good giggle :o)

Kooky Monster Candy

This Kooky Monster cracks me up, I can almost hear his deep goofy monster voice speaking the sentiment. And his greenness is just in time for St. Patty's Day weekend too.

If you're looking for some crafting St. Patty's Day fun come join the Whimsy and Inspiration group event on Facebook. There are games and prizes and LOTS of green inspiration being shared now through Sunday, March 17th.

I started this card off by cutting out THREE of the same Wonky Windows, one in white, one in black and one in lime green.  I glued the black Wonky Window (framing only) onto a white card base.

I stamped the Kooky Monster on the largest white piece and colored him with Copic markers

And I stamped the candies randomly on the two smaller green pieces

The sentiment was stamped on one of the smaller white pieces. Since I cut 3 different colors I just put the remaining bits into my scraps to use on other projects.

I popped up the two white pieces on foam tape for dimension and glued the green pieces flat so they were inlaid into the frame.

The Wonky Window 1 die is so cool and works so many ways with so many different stamp sets, and it's definitely a great match with the Kooky Monsters set.

Stinkerbell is Back!

Sheeee's baaaack STINKERBELL is now available as an individual stamp set! You asked for her to be let out of the vault and here she is...the Stinkerbell's aren't the only ones who grants wishes ;) tee hee!

For both of these cards I stamped the Stinkerbell's and colored them with Copic markers, then I hand cut them out.

For the green one I stamped and colored a second one and cut out just her dress, then popped it up with foam tape for dimension. I also cut a frame with the Rectangle Shaker Maker die for the border.

There are a couple fireworks images in the stamp set but the Fireworks Stencil is the perfect addition to use with this set.

I hope you're glad to see Stinkerbell, she's happy to be out and about granting wishes again.

I cut out a few clouds from the new Up in the Clouds die set and placed them randomly on the card popping a couple up with foam tape.

And lastly I stamped the sentiment and matted everything onto a teal card base.

Hey there Whimsy fans and animal lovers, have you seen the NEW Adopt Don't Shop Cats and Adopt Don't Shop Dogs clear stamp sets yet? And did you know that Whimsy Stamps will donate $1USD for every Adopt Cats and Adopt Dogs stamp sets that are sold?!

And to celebrate this campaign we're having a Facebook party from Feb 14-17th come and join the fun, games and prizes for all our animal lover friends! You can find the event HERE.

Today I'm sharing a card made using the Adopt Don't Shop Cats set, and the NEW Peekaboo Window 3 die which is a perfect match for this and so many other stamp sets.

I cut out two Peekaboo Window 3 dies, one from white card stock and one from the pinkish cardstock.

I stamped the kitties on the white panel and colored them with Copic markers. It's so fun watching them come to life when coloring them different ways.

Then I stamped the paws on each of the white circles and colored them with Copic markers too.

I used one of the Quick Strip dies and stamped the "adopt" sentiment, then snipped off the end and added a little rhinestone for some shiney ;).

I matted everything onto a grey card base and popped up just the large white panel with foam tape to give the main image a little more dimension.

If you love animals and if you like our message feel free to share the Facebook event and/or anything else about our efforts.

Have a GRRRReat day and thanks for your support!
