Just this side of Heaven

None of us like the reason we have to make these cards but having received them myself I know just how much they mean to someone grieving.  If your looking for pet sympathy stamps, Whimsy Stamps has the largest collection of Rainbow Bridge stamps and accessories anywhere.  You're sure to find something that speaks to your heart.

I cut out some clouds with the Stitched Cloud die set and used them as a mask to sponge on the clouds for the background.  Then I sponged around the edges of the clouds and glued them onto to the card.  I used a q-tip and chalk to smudge on the rainbow.

I stamped the sweet little doggie from A Girl's Best Friend onto a scrap piece of white cardstock with Memento black ink.  Then I colored him with Copic markers and used the matching A Girl's Best Friend die set to cut him out.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine black ink (the best ink for detail) and popped the dog up with foam tape.  Then mounted the card onto a black card base.

A Girls BEST Friend

Today I want to share with you my new stamp set called "A Girls Best Friend", this set has super sweet images and lots of different sentiments for both sympathy and for fun.  And it's versatile for both dog and cat lovers alike.

I cut a circle out of black cardstock then used one of our super cool new stencils called Star Galaxy and sponged on the stars with white ink onto the front.  For my shaker, I taped a piece of acetate across the back and added my double layer of foam tape around it.  I like using a double stack of foam tape so it gives the shaker stuff more room to flow around.

I stamped the adorable kitty with Memento ink and used my Copic markers to color her. I love kitties with pink noses :o).  Then I used the matching "A Girls Best Friend" die set to cut the kitty out and popped her up with foam tape too.
I stamped the sentiment (which can be interchanged for cat or dog) from the same set onto white cardstock piled in my sequins and secured the black cardstock on top.

I hope you have a great day!

Cupid in Training

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY (eve)!
I have to give my hubby props for coming up with this sentiment.  I already knew I wanted to name the set Cupid in Training and being the linear thinker I am, I of course had the sentiment read, "ready, aim, fire".  But John said, "if he's in training wouldn't it be funnier if the sentiment was, "ready, FIRE, aim?".  Brilliant I say, the man is brilliant!

I stamped my images with Memento ink so I could safely color them with my Copic markers.  The sentiments were stamped with Versafine black ink.

I used an embossing folder for the bubbly white cardstock on the bottom portion and mounted everything onto a pink grapefruit colored card base.

For the bow I just used a silver Sharpie to give it a little shine, which doesn't show at all in the photo (a lot of good that did - ha).  I hope this card and stamp set makes you smile, it was a lot of fun to design and I'm so glad my hubby had a part in it too.  You're my Valentine always - Johnny! <3 ;O)

Walking Dead I heart Zombies Valentine

Here's a SUPER quick and easy, clean and simple zombie card.
Even zombies should get a Valentine card don't you think?

I stamped the Distressed Backgrounds Splats with red ink then I used a couple of drops of the reinker mixed with a little water and splattered some additional splats.  I did the same on a smaller piece of white card stock to stamp the ZOMBIES sentiment and matted that onto black card stock.

I stamped the I and the heart directly on top of the splats and popped up the zombies sentiment on foam tape for some dimension.  Do YOU love zombies?  I'm sure you know someone who does and I bet they would love a zombie card from you ;) maybe even for Valentine's Day?

Love is in the Air

This little guy just cracks me up, he looks like he thoroughly enjoys his job.
I hope today's post makes you SMILE too.  Happy almost Valentine's Day

I'm lovin' our new stencils and for this card I used the Sun Rays stencil and sponged on some yellow ink.  Then I sponged on some light blue around the bottom portion.

I stamped the Cute Cupid images with memento ink and colored them with Copic markers.  Then I used the matching Cute Cupid die set to cut everything out.

I stamped part of the sentiment onto some scrap white paper and cut it at an angle and glued it directly onto the card.  I stamped the LOVE on the card and popped up the cupid with foam tape.  Then matted everything onto a white card base.

Hope you have a Happy Valentines Day <3!

Will Work for Rubber Stamps

Or clear stamps...stamps, any stamps...will work for stamps!  This new Addicted to Rubber Stamps set is so much fun you have to check out all the funny sentiments made especially for all of us stamping addicts.  Enjoy...

I die cut an oval from a white mat and embossed it with a retired SU! embossing folder, then added foam tape to the back so it would give some nice dimension placed on top of the white card front.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine black ink (my fav for sentiments hands down!) I also stamped the maid with it too so I could watercolor my image.

I used Faber-Castell watercolor pencils to color my image then I fussy cut her out without leaving any white border.  I popped her up with foam tape with the exception of her mop which gave it different heights of dimension.

Would you work for rubber stamps, I literally do?!
