Whimsy Bunny Balloons

Bunny Balloons is such a cute stamp set that has several different sentiments.  But for this card I decided to use the Wonderland Words die set because this card feels so "WHIMSYcal" ;).
I started out with Falling Dots embossing folder on a white card matte.

The Bunny Balloon image was stamped once on the card and then once again on a scrap white card stock the extra stamped bunny was hand cut out and popped up on foam tape.  I used colored pencils to color the image.

I used the circle die from the Shaker Maker Combo and glued it flat.  The Wonderland Word "Whimsy" was cut from some left over PAPER DOOR purple glitter card stock and that was also glued flat.  Then matted onto a black card base.
Have a Whimsy day :O)!

Born to be Wild

Here's a quick card for the motorcycle enthusiasts in your life using two of the cool new biker sets called Kickstart My Heart and Bad to the Bone, both released this month from Whimsy Stamps.

I first stamped the bike from Kickstart My Heart onto white cardstock then stamped it again onto a sticky note.  I cut the sticky note bike out and placed it on top of the bike image on the card (this is called masking).  Then I sponged on the bricks using the Brick Pattern Stencil and when I had it the way I wanted it I removed the mask.

The tread marks are from the Bad to the Bone set and the flames on the bike are from that set too.  This set is so cool because you can customize either bike in both sets with the "decals" stamps that are in the Bad to the Bone set...they fit either bikes gas tanks.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment from Kickstart My Heart and matted onto a black card base.

Panda Hair Don't Care

If you're looking for a punny panda set this ones for you.  It's called Panda Hair Don't Care, a totally fun stamp set with a chunky cutie patootie panda that can be made feminine or masculine :o)!

Making this a girly panda (the bow can also be a bow tie ;) I thought the Spring Flowers background stamp was the perfect complement.

Of course she was screaming for pink ink and paper so I cut out the pink cardstock with the Card Builder Windows die and stamped the Spring Flowers background with a matching pink ink.

I colored the panda with Copic markers and cut her and her bow out by hand (other wise known as Fussy Cutting).

I stamped the sentiment Versafine Smoky Grey ink and popped up the panda with foam tape for a little added dimension.

National Police Week 2018

For Police Week 2018 I've created this card using the NEW Heroes stamp set and Star Dangle stencil from Whimsy Stamps.

To start out with I die cut white cardstock with the largest frame from the Rectangle Shaker Maker (love that die set!).

I used the Star Dangle stencil and sponged on some blue ink for the background.

I stamped the police cap from the Heroes set with Memento ink and colored it with my Copic Markers.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine black ink for a nice crisp image.

The HEROES stamp set honors all law enforcement and firefighters too, it's a great stamp set to make cards for those who serve us so selflessly.

PAPER DOOR - Ninja

It's here it's here, the May PAPER DOOR kit and it's called PANDA BUTT!
EEEEEEeeeee this box has so much fun and cuteness inside of it I couldn't stop making cards with it!

Everything to make this card (except the circle die and embossing for the sentiment) is included in the May PAPER DOOR kit called Panda Butt.
You can see an unboxing video toward the bottom of this page HERE to view everything that's included in this months kit.

The glittery green on this card isn't paper, it's actually glitter tape which is included in the kit.  I just put two separate strips across a piece of cardstock then cut out the circle.

These little black pompom "tails" are just beyond cute there's a full pack of them included in the kit.

The headband is just a strip of black cardstock hand cut on the front curve with scissors.  Then I added a smaller piece of black cardstock at the back.

Get your very own Panda Butt PAPER DOOR kit today.
Don't wait you can only get this limited time offer until May 25th!

Firefighter HEROES

Yes they are, total heroes and the new stamp set HEROES from Whimsy Stamps honors many of our first responders. We woke up to a fire in our neighborhood this morning, smoke is everywhere, thank God for these angels who put their life on the line everyday.

For my card base I stamped the Farmhouse Shiplap background with a dark brown ink onto a chocolate brown cardstock.

Using the new HEROES stamps set I stamped the helmet first then mask it off and stamped the fire hydrant both with Versafine black ink.  The sentiment was also stamped with Versafine black ink.
I'm not too keen with the pinkish helmet shield but I tried fixing it and it just got worse (lol) so I just decided to live with it.

Then I used Faber-Castell watercolor pencils (on Canson cold pressed water color paper) to watercolor my images.  Then glued it to the card base.  Then used one of the Straight Edgers dies to add the stitching along the sides.

THANK YOU to all of our HEROES and their families who put their life on the line for our safety.
