I sent this card to a friend who lost her Grandmother this past year to cancer, and I'm posting it now to share that I lost my beautiful sister Elizabeth in November to cancer too. And just 5 days after her funeral I found out I have skin cancer and had surgery in December. That's why I haven't been posting on my blog for the last two months. While I had the honor of being my sisters caregiver for her first two battles with cancer and now for her 3rd and final battle, my life is forever changed without her in my world.
I am devastated.
If you want to read a more about how cancer has affected my family, you can read this post
HERE.
I will be posting more regularly again soon but please bear with me as the posts may be sporadic for a while. I'm sharing this card with you today because, well, I feel that the sentiment speaks for itself.
Thank you to all my wonderful card making friends, and followers who have been so loving and supportive during one of the most awful and difficult times of my life. I can't say enough what it means to me. Thank you for letting me share this very personal and emotional time with you.
I wanted to keep this card clean an simple so that the sentiment was prominent. So I started with sponging on yellow and orange inks onto the
Mini Cloud Background stamp and stamped it onto plain white card stock. Then just cut it out without leaving any border around it.
I used the
Shaker Maker Rectangle die set and cut out a black frame and placed it over the sentiment. I like how this gives the illusion of the background being two pieces but it's not.
To complete my card I added cut a piece of an
Adhesive Foam Sheet to the back and placed it on a white card base.
I'm usually a very private person, but life is short and I want to be sure that I let you all know just how much I appreciate all the love and support you've shown me.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my broken heart.
And I hope 2020 is a HEALTHY and HAPPY one for all of us.
Good riddance 2019!
Thanks for stopping by...see you soon,
