Puppy LOVE

Here's a Q&E (quick and easy) card for your special someone on Valentines day or any day.

I used the Caution Wagging Tail die and cut two dogs out of black card stock.  I die cut a red heart and sponged around the edges a little with a deeper red ink.

The sentiment is from the "Caution Dog Slobber" set and was stamped with Versafine crimson red ink.  I put everything on a white mat then on a black card base.  The doggies were popped up on foam tape for dimension. Definitely Q&E :o).

I will always be with you

Here's another clean and simple pet sympathy card using the new "Fill My Heart" stamp set from Whimsy Stamps Rainbow Bridge Collection.

This card was just as quick and easy as the one I posted a couple of days ago.  I just stamped the dog with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and the sentiment with versafine black ink.

I used a ruler to draw the straight line with a black marker and put a little chalk under this sweet doggie for a shadow.  Then popped it up with fun foam for added dimension.  Done.

Florida SNOW Flurry???

It's supposed to get down into the 30's in SW Florida tonight and this Florida girl is hoping for SNOW!!  So I thought it was a good time to post this snow capped card (from the Whimsy Stamps Snow Flurry Collection) with Florida colors for a non-traditional winter twist.  Hope you enjoy and stay bundled up!

For the background I used Versamark ink on the Snow Flurry background stamp and stamped it onto watercolor paper.  Then I heat embossed it with detail white embossing powder.  I wet the paper down so it was pretty wet (with water puddling) then took a wet paintbrush and floated on Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress inks.

I used my heat tool to speed up the drying time then I used the Snow Cap word die to cut out the letters from a portion of the background I created.  And cut off another portion for the bottom part of the card.
I cut a second set of letters out of black cardstock to create the "shadow" effect.  The snowy caps are from the same die set and I cut those out of glitter cardstock.  It's really fun building the snow words...kind of like playing in the snow ;o).

I heat embossed the sentiment from the Snow Flurry stamp set in white on black cardstock and trimmed it at an angle.  I cut a white panel for the top portion using the Stitched Border Trio.
The black letters were glued to the backside of the main letters (off-set just slightly) and the snow caps were glued on top of the main letters.  All of the letters are popped up on foam tape for added dimension.   Stay snuggly :o)!

My work here is done.

A clean and simple pet sympathy card using the new "Fill My Heart" set from Whimsy Stamps Rainbow Bridge Collection.

This was a very quick card to make but I think it's simplicity says a lot especially with that sentiment.

I used SU! Cajun Craze ink for the dog and black versafine for the shadow and sentiment.  The dog stamps is super easy to ink up using two different colors.  After I did my stamping I just matted it onto a cajun craze card mat and onto a white card base.   Done.

Crazy for Chocolate Shaker Card

Here's a stamp set for all you chocoholics out there to enjoy.  There are funny sentiments and yummy images for you to color in this new Crazy for Chocolate set that can be used all-year round.

I cut my frame, taped clear acetate to the backside and put a doubled stack of foam tape around the entire back of the frame to create my shaker window.  I stamped my images on white cardstock with black Memento ink and colored them with my Copic markers

Then I cut the images out using the matching Crazy for Chocolate die set.  I added some shadowing with chalk to the background and glued down the candy bowl.  Then I piled my sequins in the center and adhered the frame on top.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Sepia ink (stamped off once) and adhered across the front.

The cutie little bows were popped up on foam tape for added dimension.

Snowone Like You

Since it's snowing nearly EVERYwhere I thought I'd post this card made with the cool (or should I say cold?) Snow Cap die and Snow Flurry stamp set.

I made my watercolor background using these Tim Holtz Distress Inks which if you didn't already know, Whimsy Stamps is now carrying - yay!

I cut out my SNOW letters from a purple cardstock and their matching snowcaps from a white glitter carstock using the Snow Cap Word die.  This die set is really fun :o).  Then I stamped my sentiment using the punny Snow Flurry stamp set.

I popped the SNOW letters up with foam tape for lots of nice dimension then mounted everything on a black mat then onto a white card base.  I hope everyone is okay and staying warm, this has been a harsh winter week for sure.

Rainbow Bridge meets Cute Cupid

I believe the place where Rainbow Bridge and Heaven meet is where we get to reunite with our furbabies and walk or run (or float if you prefer ;) into heaven together.

My Rainbow Bridge collection from Whimsy Stamps has expanded to include two new sets in this months release and two more releasing next month.  I know it stinks that we even need these cards in the first place but it's nice to have so many heartfelt options to choose from.  And many of the sets in the collection have fun, non-sympathy options incorporated into them too.  For today's post here's a sweet little kitty from the new set A Girls Best Friend and I combined it with Cute Cupid to make her an angel.

I stamped the little kitty, the wings and halo with Memento black ink and colored them with my Copic markers.  I love working with grey Copics, both the cool and the warm ones, these are the cool ones I used on this card C1, C3, C5, C7.

I used the flicking method to make the kitty look like a tabby and gave her a big pink nose ;o)

The wings and halo are from the Cute Cupid stamp set and matching dies that were released last month and I added some glitter to both for some angelic sparkle.
I heat embossed the sentiment with detail white embossing powder on some grey cardstock and put everything onto a plain pink cardstock background and mounted onto a grey card base.

Fill my Heart Dog

The new year is here and with it comes an awesome and expanded new product line from Whimsy Stamps!  Starting this month you can now shop for your COPIC markers (only $5.69!) at Whimsy Stamps and you'll also find a new stencil line, several ink pad brands, innovative new background stamps and lots more.  And that's in addition to the super awesome new stamps and dies released this month too.  Head on over to the Whimsy Stamps store and check out all the new FUN waiting for you!

And for my post today, I'm sharing several of those new  products with you on this 5x5 square, "Fill My Heart (dog)" card...

I started off using the new Lattice Background coupled with the new Background Buddies to customize my paw background, this combination is beyond cool, and is a must have for your stamp collection!

I used the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles die for the main image and stamped the dog from the Fill My Heart stamp set using Versafine Smoky Gray ink (stamped off once).  The heart was stamped with Versafine Crimson Red ink and the paw (and paws) and sentiment were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
For sentiments and detail I personally don't think there's a better ink than Versafine ink.

To finish up I layered onto black mats/card base and popped up the main image on foam tape for dimension.  I hope you liked today's post and I hope you have a heart dog (aka doggie soul mate) in your life always.
