Happy Halloween - Psycho!

It's HALLOWEEEEEEN my favorite day of the year! Technically Fright Night is Halloween Eve but that's okay who needs to be technical when there's so much Halloween fun to be had?

I stamped the psycho house image from the Cute But Psycho clear stamp set onto watercolor paper. The image takes up a good portion of the card but I used a black pen to extend the hedge all the way across. Then I used distress inks to watercolor everything.

there are teeny tiny specks of bats already on the house image but I used the Howling Night set to add some of the larger bats.

I also used the Howling Night set for the sentiment

for the final creature feature, I added a zombie from the Zombie Trio die because what's Halloween without a few zombies or at least one zombie?!

Have you seen the classic Alfred Hitchcock movie Psycho?  If you have then the sentiments in the Cute But Psycho stamp set should give you a few giggles.  I mean come on, Happy Mother's Day?!! LOL

I hope you have a hauntingly, frightfully, fun Halloween!! And be sure to check out the Whimsy Stamps blog at 6pm EST for tonight's announcement of all the winners from our 2nd Annual 31 Nights of Halloween blog celebration. Good luck every BODY!

I Vant to Vish You a Happy Birthday

Look into my eyes, I Vant to Vish you a Happy Birthday...Bleh, Bleh, Bleh!

How fun is this Dracula I Compel You birthday card, for all your Fall birthday people?! Or for that matter any time of the year for any of your friends and family who are Dracula/Vampire fans (that's me!)

I started off by stamping the Doveart Brick Background grey on grey and cut out the center with the Stitched Oval die set. I added foam tape to the back and put it onto a purple card base.

I stamped and colored the bat balloon and Dracula was heat embossed with black embossing powder then both images were cut out using the matching Dracula I Compel You die set

I wanted Drac's skin to look translucent, so I colored his face with a lavender Copic marker then used a Copic colorless blender to take off some of the color
I used a red pen to draw in the veins on his eyes

I stamped the sentiment last and popped Drac and his bat up on foam tape for added dimension

I also vant to vish you a HAPPY HALLOWEEN it's my favorite day of the year!

PeekaBOO Halloweeners

The new PeekaBOO window 1 die and the Halloweeners clear stamp set are a perfect pairing, then again there are LOTS of stamp sets that work BOOtifully with the Peekaboo Window dies

I first cut out a Peekaboo Window from black cards stock

Then lined it up on a white card base and lightly penciled in the openings so I knew where to stamp the Halloweeners ghosts and spider webs. I used a post-it note to mask off the edge of the card so no other portion of the images would show on the edges

I added a little grey Copic highlights on the ghosts then put foam tape on the back of the Peekaboo window and carefully added it onto the card front

I used the Bold ABC dies to cut out the words from some orange card stock and glued them into position. Happy BOO TO YOU too!

Cute But Psycho BUT Cute!

Are you a classic horror/thriller movie fan or an Alfred Hitchcock fan?
If so then this Cute But Psycho clear stamp set is sure to give you a few giggles.

I first stamped the Psycho house grey on grey for my background, this stamp is nice and large and takes up almost the entire card base so you don't need much of anything else

I stamped the creepy little Cute But Psycho girl, colored her with Copic markers and hand cut her out. I did the same for her little carving knife that she's hiding behind her back ;).

She just cracks me up!

I stamped a little oval shadow underneath her and popped her up with some foam tape

I stamped the sentiment last and matted onto a black card base to complete my creepy little Cute But Psycho card. Which, by the way really doesn't have to be just for Halloween, you can freak your friends and family out all year long with this stamp set, and I of course encourage you to do so - LOL!

Paper Door - Elf Sized

Have you seen the new Elf Sized PAPER DOOR kit, it's a cutie dutie for sure?!

There are several really cute sentiments in this set and I used one of my favorites for this card. I cut it out using one of the Shaker Maker Banner dies

I colored the elf with Copic markers then used the matching dies to cut him out. On a scarp piece of card stock I stamped the presents right next to each a couple of times and hand cut those out and stacked them.

the gorgeous glimmer paper is also included in the Elf Sized PAPER DOOR kit

as well as the gold glitter Nuvo drops

I hope you have enjoyed my Elf Sized post today and if you want to make some Elf Sized cards for your friends and family you can get this months Paper Door kit HERE

Howling Night Graveyard ZOMBIES!

YIKES ZOMBIES!!
I used several Whimsy Stamps products for this card, starting out with the arch from the Howling Night set. This arch could be used for a summery/flowery type card too so it's definitely not just for Halloween.

I first sponged on some blue and purple inks for my background then I stamped the Howling Night arch with some dark olive colored ink. With clear stamps one of the cool things you can do is stretch some of them out which is what I did to make the arch wider for this project.

I used the Grass & Cloud Edgers die and tucked one of the zombies from the Zombie Trio die set behind it.

I also used one of the tombstones from the Dracula's Coffin die set to complete the zombie burial mound.

I stamped the sentiment which is from the It's a Nail Biter set then matted my zombie graveyard onto a black card base

Love me some zombies!
Happy Zombie Season to you and yours.
