The Whimsy Stamps new release for May is HERE and it's chock full of creative fun for everyone. To kick things off I'm sharing a cutie dutie card using the NEW Panda Hair Don't Care stamp set, NEW Beaded Curtain stencil and NEW Basic Stitched Oval dies.
The background was created with the NEW Beaded Curtain Stencil and I simple sponged on some green and yellow inks. I love our stencils, they make such quick and easy backgrounds.
I stamped the panda and bow tie then colored them with copic markers (C00, C1, C7) and hand cut them out. For the panda I cut out his tummy (OUCHie!) so that his upper body was one piece and his legs were another. That way his arms could lay over the top of the oval and I could position his legs underneath.
I cut the smallest oval from our NEW Basic Stitched Ovals die set and stamped the sentiment from Panda Hair Don't Care on that. At first I envisioned the oval to be like the panda was holding a sign but it almost looks like the oval could be his chunky belly and hips ;o)...which do you think it looks like?
For the finishing touches I added some chalk under the panda for some shadowing and popped him up on foam tape for dimension. His bow tie was attached with a glue dot and I just bent the ends upward. So whaaasup with you panda?
