LOVE Forever and Ever

 Happy Valentine's Day (eve)!

Here's a quick, clean and simple Valentine card for your special someone.

I started out using the Speckled Heart stencil and sponged on red ink onto white card stock.  Then stamped the "Love" sentiment using the You're My Always clear stamp set.

I heat embossed the rest of the sentiment with white embossing powder on a black "Quick Strip" die. I cut a second quick strip from red card stock to matte underneath it for another little pop of red.

I'm lovin' the Quick Strip dies, and I can see me using them on pretty much every card I make - ha.

I hope you have a love filled Valentine's Day XOXO!

YAY it's (almost) Chocolate Day!

It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day to be Chocolate Day does it?!

I stamped the sentiment from Crazy for Chocolate using memento cocoa ink onto a pink cardstock.  The white scallop is an ancient Sizzix scallop frame die that is literally like 20+ years old.

I stamped the bonbons and peanut butter cup with Memento black ink and colored them with my Copic markers.  The "peanut butter cup" can also be used as a candy wrapper like seen HERE.

I used the matching Crazy for Chocolate dies to cut everything out then mounted with foam tape onto a "chocolate" colored card base.

Love You to the Moon and Back

Hmmm, Valentine's Day, Anniversary/Love, or Halloween card?

I started out with a navy blue card base and cut a Rectangle Shaker Maker die for the black frame. I also cut a black mound from the Grass and Cloud die.

I made a pencil mark where I wanted to stamp the Howling Night wolf and stamped him with black Versafine ink.

I stamped the moon with white craft ink and sponged it in a little more ink to fill it in some.

I cut the Evergreen Trees and sponged on some dark green ink on the left edges only then added a little touch of the white craft ink the the right edges only.

The sentiment was stamped with silver Delicata ink and popped up on foam tape.

I actually made this card at Halloween time but never posted it because I thought it could easily be a Valentine's Day card but what do you think...Halloween or Valentine?

Kooky Friend Got Candy?

Kooky Monsters or kooky friend, it doesn't matter as long as they have candy - ha!

I started out stamping one of the Kooky Monsters on Bristol cold pressed water color paper and used distress inks to color him.

When he was dry I sprinkled on some plain water, hand cut him out and popped him up on foam tape.

For the sentiments I used the new You're Too Kind stamp set for the "friend" and coupled that with the "got candy" from the Kooky Monsters set.

I matted onto a black card base and added some oh so purdy Mixed Berry sequins. This would make a really cute non-lovey dovey Valentine's Day card too ;).

Cupid in Training

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY (eve)!
I have to give my hubby props for coming up with this sentiment.  I already knew I wanted to name the set Cupid in Training and being the linear thinker I am, I of course had the sentiment read, "ready, aim, fire".  But John said, "if he's in training wouldn't it be funnier if the sentiment was, "ready, FIRE, aim?".  Brilliant I say, the man is brilliant!

I stamped my images with Memento ink so I could safely color them with my Copic markers.  The sentiments were stamped with Versafine black ink.

I used an embossing folder for the bubbly white cardstock on the bottom portion and mounted everything onto a pink grapefruit colored card base.

For the bow I just used a silver Sharpie to give it a little shine, which doesn't show at all in the photo (a lot of good that did - ha).  I hope this card and stamp set makes you smile, it was a lot of fun to design and I'm so glad my hubby had a part in it too.  You're my Valentine always - Johnny! <3 ;O)

Walking Dead I heart Zombies Valentine

Here's a SUPER quick and easy, clean and simple zombie card.
Even zombies should get a Valentine card don't you think?

I stamped the Distressed Backgrounds Splats with red ink then I used a couple of drops of the reinker mixed with a little water and splattered some additional splats.  I did the same on a smaller piece of white card stock to stamp the ZOMBIES sentiment and matted that onto black card stock.

I stamped the I and the heart directly on top of the splats and popped up the zombies sentiment on foam tape for some dimension.  Do YOU love zombies?  I'm sure you know someone who does and I bet they would love a zombie card from you ;) maybe even for Valentine's Day?

Love is in the Air

This little guy just cracks me up, he looks like he thoroughly enjoys his job.
I hope today's post makes you SMILE too.  Happy almost Valentine's Day

I'm lovin' our new stencils and for this card I used the Sun Rays stencil and sponged on some yellow ink.  Then I sponged on some light blue around the bottom portion.

I stamped the Cute Cupid images with memento ink and colored them with Copic markers.  Then I used the matching Cute Cupid die set to cut everything out.

I stamped part of the sentiment onto some scrap white paper and cut it at an angle and glued it directly onto the card.  I stamped the LOVE on the card and popped up the cupid with foam tape.  Then matted everything onto a white card base.

Hope you have a Happy Valentines Day <3!
