It's my favorite day of the year, so what better day to share with my fellow Halloweeners how I made one of my all-time favorite cards?!

Have you seen all the cool Whimsy Stamps Slimline dies for making tall & skinny cards?

Here's another one that has just been released called Slimline Five Frames, and I already LOVE it!

Build a Basket Easter PEEPS

I can't believe that Easter is only 2 weeks away - yikes where is this year going?!

At least I do have my sister's Easter card done, she loves Peeps so of course the Whimsy Stamps Build a Basket die set was the perfect choice to make her a Peep card. 

This die set is so much fun and has so many creative elements to build all kinds of baskets, everyday baskets, Easter baskets, or pots of gold for St. Patrick's Day, and I'm already thinking about cauldron's for Halloween...so many possibilities!

To start off I cut out 3 of the Build a Basket peeps from some pretty yellow glitter paper and used a black marker to add their eyes and noses, then glued them to a white card matte.

I used the Rectangle Shaker Maker, to, well, make the shaker frame (lol).

 For the sentiment I used the stitched oval from the Quick Strips die set. I think it's close to official now that I can't make a card without this die - ha.

The sentiment is from the Kooky Monsters clear stamp set which was exactly what I needed for a Peeps card.

The little flowers are also from the Build a Basket die set with a couple Enamel Dots added to the centers and the shaker pretties are the some sequins and Crystal Hearts Sparkletz.

Three Different Dash Away Ideas

All three of the of the projects I'm sharing with you today are using the Dash Away set which has been really popular. Right now it's sold out in the Whimsy store, but more will be in stock soon!

This CAS (clean and simple) card was super easy and there are zero embellishments so no worries about sending through the mail. I just used different color inks and matted onto a red card base and it was done. Soooo easy especially if you have lots of Christmas cards to make or need some quick last minute cards.

My next project was a little more involved but the Shaker Maker Glitter Globe die made it quick and easy too. Plus it's not only a Christmas card but it can be used as a Christmas ornament too. I love how all the Dash Away images work perfectly inside the Glitter Globe.

And my last card is another CAS card using the Dash Away set along with the You're My Jolly set. I used a glitter embossing powder on the main sentiment to make it sparkly. And the ribbon and green glitter paper are from a prior Paper Door kit.

Paper Door Glitter Globe Snowman Shaker

Of course I couldn't not make a shaker card with the NEW Glitter Globe PAPER DOOR kit. This kit is great for shaker cards and has three different shaker elements included. So for my snowman Glitter Globe I decided to go with the obvious "snowballs".

The main images were colored with Copic markers and then cut out using the matching dies.

I also love the water bubbles images included in the Glitter Globe stamp set, they make the snow globe effect even more realistic.

I used the Polka Dot stencil for the the blue dots in the background, this is a great stencil, it can be  snowflakes or just for fun polka dots.

This was a really fun card to make, I think I say it every month but this just might be my favorite kit so far. If you haven't tried out the PAPER DOOR kits yet, this is a great one...there's so much fun in this box, I'm lovin' it and I bet you will too!

Sweet & Salty Meets Farmhouse Vases

Are you enjoying all of the new Whimsy summer products, I know I am?  For my post today I've made a shaker card and have combined the NEW Sweet and Salty set with (whodathunkit) one of the Farmhouse Collection sets called Farmhouse Vases.  I think these two unlikely sets are a great match for each other ;) what do you think?

I stamped the mason jar from Farmhouse Vases and hand cut it out.  Then I sponged on some blue ink using the Making Waves stencil (such a cool stencil that has 3 different wave options).  Once I had the waves stenciled I stamped the seaweed which is also from the Farmhouse Vases set.  The Sweet and Salty mermaid was stamped and then I used a white gel pen to dot on the waterline following the stencil path.

I used the Shaker Maker Combo Die for my shaker circle and some of the pretty Star Spangled sequins for the inside. 

The dotted texture on the white background is from the Falling Dots embossing folder.

PAPER DOOR Little Moments

This shaker card was so fun to make using the NEW PAPER DOOR card kit from Whimsy Stamps!  The April 2018 kit is called "Enjoy the Little Things" and it's chock full of paper crafting goodness.

Pretty much everything to make this card (except for the Shaker Maker die) is included in the PAPER DOOR kit.  The Shaker Maker die is also available to purchase from Whimsy Stamps too.  

The custom sequins are included in the PAPER DOOR kit and I mixed in some of the butterflies that were cut with the Shaker Maker die and the gorgeous shimmer blue card stock also included in the kit. 

I colored the images with copic markers but the kit comes with 3 Tim Holtz Distress Markers that you can use to colors yours. I made other card samples using the distress markers so I thought I'd change this one card up a bit and use my copics (also available at the Whimsy store ;o).

All the card stock, the embossing folder, the stamp set, the sequins even the window sheet are all included in this months kit!  You can see a video of everything and order your very own

A Girls BEST Friend

Today I want to share with you my new stamp set called "A Girls Best Friend", this set has super sweet images and lots of different sentiments for both sympathy and for fun.  And it's versatile for both dog and cat lovers alike.

I cut a circle out of black cardstock then used one of our super cool new stencils called Star Galaxy and sponged on the stars with white ink onto the front.  For my shaker, I taped a piece of acetate across the back and added my double layer of foam tape around it.  I like using a double stack of foam tape so it gives the shaker stuff more room to flow around.

I stamped the adorable kitty with Memento ink and used my Copic markers to color her. I love kitties with pink noses :o).  Then I used the matching "A Girls Best Friend" die set to cut the kitty out and popped her up with foam tape too.

I stamped the sentiment (which can be interchanged for cat or dog) from the same set onto white cardstock piled in my sequins and secured the black cardstock on top.
