Slimline Vampire Graveyard

For today's post I have a slimline Halloween card that combines two of my favorite things, haunted stuffs and vampire stuffs, love me some wolves too...

To start out I cut a black Slimline Wonky Windows and will use just the frame portion. (save the inside pieces to cut out your word and wolf).

Then I lined up the Slimline Wonky Window die on the Vampire paper, paying attention to where I wanted it to cut out the designs. It's so cool because the openings on the die lined up perfectly with the house, and graveyard scene on the paper...how cool is that?!
I set aside the frame, and vampire paper pieces to work on the card base.

For the card base, I punched a circle out of a post-it note and stuck it on a white slimline card base where I wanted my "moon" to be. Then I sponged on dark grey ink (black inks works too) over the moon mask and in the white window areas. Once I had the inking to my liking, I removed the moon mask and dabbed a little more grey ink across the moon so it wasn't so stark.

The upper right piece of Vampire paper is larger than the frame opening so I was sure to glue that piece on BEFORE gluing the black slimline frame on top of it. Once The black frame was in place I glued the other two Vampire paper pieces inside their applicable window openings.

I used the Haunted Words die set and cut out "Haunted" 3 times from grey card stock, and "Graveyard" 3 times from black card stock. I almost always glue/stack my word dies 3-4 times to give them stability and extra dimension.

For the inside (which I think could actually be a card front too), I cut a strip of black card stock and glued it to the bottom.
I used another piece of a different design from the Vampire papers and glued that to the inside.
Then sponged on some grey/black ink on the sides, and added two of the large fences from the Build-a-Grave die set (one of my favs of the season).

To complete my card I used the wolf from the Monster Parade die set (another item on my favorites list this year) and die cut that from black card stock black and added red cardstock behind his eye.
