WELCOME Foolish Mortals to the Haunted Mansion...I could totally live there!
I used the Slimline Scallop Peekaboo die and cut that out from black card stock, I also used the smallest die from the Slimline Birthday Scallops die to cut out the center of the peekaboo layer.
I used my paper trimmer and cut out the portion of Haunted paper that I wanted to show through the opening. It wasn't quite long enough so I used another portion of the same sheet of paper and added it at the bottom portion. You can't even tell it was pieced together at all.
Then just cut off the web portion and tucked it in the upper left corner.
I die cut the Haunted Words from a lavender cardstock 3 times each and stacked/glued them together to give them more stability and dimension.
I also added the same lavender card stock behind the X's that cut out from the Slimline Scallop Peekaboo die. I love those little X's on this die, it's funny how such a small detail can make such a big difference.
To complete my project, I matted onto a purple slimline card base, and popped up the Slimline Scallop Peekaboo frame with foam tape and added the Haunted Words last.
If you can't get enough Halloween card making ideas you won't want to miss the Whimsy Stamps annual 31 Nights of Halloween celebration going on every night in October. Check it out HERE.
Deb, after I saw the last card you made with the inside as an option for a cardfront, I did the same and used this same ghost girl for my inside of my card! I like the eerie feeling this gives off! Such a great way to scare some folks! :)
ReplyDeleteOh cool Liz, I'm glad I inspired you decorate the inside of your Halloween card. I've always decorated the insides of my cards, and I always say "no naked envelopes" too - lol! xo
