Creepy Clown Sleep Tight

Well HELLOOOOO there lovelies, are you enjoying this Halloween season...I sure am?!

This card came together very quickly, I just die cut from Kraft card stock the largest of the Wavy Pierced Rectangle dies and stamped the Creepy Clown with Versafine chestnut ink.

Then I sponged on some of the same ink around the edges to "age" the card stock.

I colored just a few areas of the Creepy Clown using Prisma colored pencils.

I stamped the clown again onto a scrap piece of kraft card stock and fussy cut out just his hands then added the hands to the image with foam tape so they look like they are coming toward you.

I stamped the sentiment with chestnut ink, die cut it out with one of the Comic Speech Bubbles and sponged around the edges. Then added it to the card also with foam tape for added dimension.

To complete my Creepy Clown card, I added it to a black card base which really seemed to make it pop. Are you afraid of creepy clowns, or even regular clowns? See you in your nightmares...Eeeeeeheheheheee!

Be sure to check out all the Halloween fun and prizes over on the Whimsy blog every night this month for our annual 31 Nights of Halloween celebration, there's LOTS of prizes and Halloween card making inspiration!

  1. This is creepy, Deb! Like it is coming right out of the sewer and he just let go of the bright red balloon: so he can grab you!!!!
Interesting enough, my room as a child was decorated with several clown oil paintings. They are still in my mom's hallway and as a child in the 70's they did not bother me. Now I feel they are a bit creepy. Clowns don't bother me, but I would not like to meet one in a dark alley! Mwaaahhhhaaaahhhaaa! Cheers!

  2. Thanks so much Liz, creepy is such a nice compliment ;)! I don't know, I think I might be a little freaked out visiting your moms house, and not so sure that your childhood room decore isn't borderline child abuse - BAHAAHAHAHA!

    1. Deb, your comment made me cackle out loud! My son does not like the paintings, I will have to take a photo and show it to you one day. I think the child abuse comment is right on target! Maybe that is why I am so wacky! Crafty hugs!!!! :)
