Our mascot, Franken Schmutz is back with another post for Whimsy Stamps 31 Nights of Halloween blog celebration featuring the Friends Till the End clear stamp set. And a giveaway too...
I'm excited to be giving away a Whimsy Stamps Halloween stamp set to one lucky winner. Keep reading for how you can enter for your chance to win
To start off with I stamped the Burlap background with a kraft colored ink onto a cocoa colored cardstock, then I cut it out with the PeekaBOO window 1 die.
I set the window on a soft pink card base and used a pencil to outline the openings so I knew where to stamp the cobweb, spider and bottom sentiment all from the Friends Till the End set.
The 3 bears (3 bears - tee hee) were all stamped on watercolor paper and I used distress ink to water color them, and they were hand cut out. With the Friends Till the End stamp set you can add different scars/patches to the teddy bear but for this card I decided to keep the scars the same.
I stamped the bottom sentiment directly through the window
and for the top sentiment I used a left over square from the PeekaBOO window 1 die and popped it up on foam tape for a little dimension.
I saved placing the bears tumbling out of the windows for last.
Halloween is my favorite day of the year and Halloween stamp sets are some of my favorite to design. I think of ideas all year and I'd love to hear from you so...

I just love your 3 bears card!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have a fun set with lots of ghosts and another jack o' lantern that would tie in with the Attempted Murder set! Great set for scene building!
OOOO this is soooo creepy! I would like to see more WHIMSICAL sets of witches, ghosts, and pumpkins... I LIKE CUTESY... scariest movie... I HATE SCARY MOVIES but I do recall seeing part of "IT" before I wimped out :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! The bears are perfect. I would like to see a sweet witch, a haunted house and die cuts if a cauldron, witches hat and a witches boot.
ReplyDeleteThese bears are so
ReplyDeletecute in a creepy way!
I'd like to see some

ReplyDeleteIn Holland we don't celebrate Halloween but I love alle the stamps/dies of bats, witches, cats and pumpkins and even made a Autumn/Halloween card..just for the fun of it!! I am not brave enough to watch any scary movie, there's already enough creepy stuff going on in the series I follow *lol*!!
xx Irene
Fun creation!!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course I would love to see a cat of some.sort. Thanks for the opportunity.
Beautiful card, Deb!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more cute Halloween images like cute witches, animals and pumpkins.
My favourite scary movie is Scream 2.
That's a cute Halloween card! I like anything cute not scary. Don't like watching scary movies.
ReplyDeleteDelightfully creepy-licious! Would love to see 'cute' Halloween images...spiders, perhaps? Scariest movie: The Shining. OHMYSTARS!
ReplyDelete~carol
don't know how you managed to make a teddy bear so creepy BUT you did - awesome work:)
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more witches and skeletons/grave yards
Scariest movie would have to be "IT' - hate clowns lol!!!
This is one of two of your Halloween sets I don’t have yet. I love them all! How about a Michael Myers or Jason themed set in the future?
ReplyDeleteI love this card! Just the bit of creepy needed!
ReplyDeleteI always love traditional Halloween characters like witches, ghosts, vampires and Franks! From the cute ones to the ghoulishly creepy ones, I love them all!
How adorable!! Kinda reminds me of my own pink teddy bear I had as a child ... I still have it and yep, it's a little scarred. I have always loved Frankenstein and the whole macabre idea of creating him. THAT is pretty scary!! lol I need a really cool spider stamp, or two or three. Realistic as well as cute!
ReplyDeleteI like the burlap background and the tumbling bears. I am not into Halloween so I just like harvest type images. I also don't watch scary movies. When my kids were little we used to like to watch the Wizard of Oz with the scary witch and monkeys.
ReplyDeleteLove silly pumpkins and little creatures enjoying a cup a tea or apple cider. Fall is the best!
ReplyDeleteI love your card so much! And how did I not see this stamp set!? Now I have to shop :)
ReplyDeleteCute card! I would love to see a Bride of Frankenstein set to go with the Franken Schmitz set. :) As for scary movies, my "new" favorite is The Haunting of Hill House (new Netflix with 10 parts). My youngest daughter and I devoured it in three nights....very well done if you haven't seen it!
ReplyDeleteAwww!!! What adorable Halloween card!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see some crepy unicorns!!!
