Joy to the World

Here's another card using the Peace, Love Joy stamp set, I thought the dove was just screaming for the stained glass technique.

For the stained glass technique:
Stamp your image with Stazon ink onto a transparency sheet then turn it over to the back side.
Add a clear drying liquid adhesive (I used Glossy Accents) to only one section (at a time) of the image and generously sprinkle on your first color of glitter

Dump the remaining white glitter back into its container then add the glue to a different section of the image and use a different color glitter.

Do this process until the entire image is covered and set aside to dry.  There's no way to speed up the drying time because a heat tool would melt the transparency but it actually dries pretty quickly.
For this project I used only two colors of glitter but of course you can use however many you want.

While waiting for the dove to dry I stamped the branch and sentiments and added a couple of
Once the dove was dry I fussy cut it out and adhered it with glue dots behind the darker blue glitter portions and along the black stamped line.
I love how the branch design peeks through the stained glass.

It's really sparkly and pretty in real life, I'd love to see your version of the stained glass technique...

LAST CHANCE Retiring Whimsy Stamps Products

The New Year is fast approaching and Whimsy Stamps is retiring several products to make room for all the new goodies arriving in 2019. I'm sharing 3 new project in this post using retiring sets and at the bottom of this post I have links for you to peek at some of my favorite cards over the past couple of years of sets that are retiring on 12/31/18.

There's a 30% off code to use at check out (WhimsyRetire30) that is good until 12/25/18 but the stock of retiring products is limited and once they're gone they're gone for good, so don't wait this is your LAST CHANCE to get them!

Here's a SUPER quick and easy, clean and simple birthday card for the zombie lover(s) in your life.

I stamped the zombie from the "If I Only Had a Brain" (retiring on 12/31/18) stamp set multiple times across a white strip of card stock.  Then I stamped the ZOMBIES sentiment and matted the image onto a black base leaving a 1/4" edge on the top and bottom.

After I glued that to the front of a white card base I stamped the top and bottom sentiments.   Totally quick and easy AND I used only one stamp set, ink and paper.  Anyone can stamp it's...easy cheesy and FUN!

Here is another card I haven't posted yet with a retiring set called Angel Blessings. This sweet angel image is accompanied by several sentiments for all kinds of different occasions.

I stamped her onto watercolor paper and used distress inks to water color. Then just hand cut her and the sentiments out and popped the angel up on foam tape for dimension.

For my last card I used the Holiday Occasions set, which is a great multi-occasion set for several holidays combined all into one set.

and for this card I used distress inks to water color my background. Then heat embossed the sentiment and ornament with white embossing powder. After, I just splattered on some plain water spots and used my paint brush with a more blue distress ink and filled in the ornament a little darker. Then cut it out with the Stitched Rectangle die and popped it up on foam tape on a white card base.

Here are some of my favorite cards I've made using products that are retiring on 12/31/18...

This card was not made by me but it's one of my favorites (by Sue Hastead) Oh Holy Night
