Farmhouse Chalkboard

I just don't know where to start with this new release from Whimsy Stamps, there is an entire collection of Farmhouse themed products!  There are 2 clear stamp sets, 2 stencils and 2 large background rubber stamps.  Plus there are two new awesome stitched die sets and a new Shaker Maker die that is killer!  Oh my goodness, I LOVE this new release so much...Eeeeee, I hope you love it too!  

You'll see a bunch of new products highlighted on this card.  I first sponged on some vintage photo distress ink onto craft cardstock using the new Farmhouse Basket stencil.  Then I used the new Shaker Maker Rectangle die to cut it out, this die is SO COOL you have to check it out!  The thin inside border of the frame cuts out when you layer the dies, so I just turned the thin part over and used the un-stenciled side for a contrasting border. (I use regular tape to secure the two pieces together on the back side - easy peasy).

I used images from the coordinating clear stamp sets Farmhouse Vases and Farmhouse Wreaths for the wreath and vase and and colored them with my Copic markers.  Then I stamped the twig with walnut stain distress ink then fussy cut out all three images.

I stamped the sentiment from Farmhouse Wreaths (you can customize all kinds of sentiments with this set) with versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  Then I sponged on some white craft ink for the chalkboard effect.

  

To finish the card I added some burlap ribbon and a twine bow from my never ending ribbon stash.  The vase and wreath were popped up with foam tape and I matted onto a dark brown card base.
