Joy to the World

Here's another card using the Peace, Love Joy stamp set, I thought the dove was just screaming for the stained glass technique.

For the stained glass technique:
Stamp your image with Stazon ink onto a transparency sheet then turn it over to the back side.
Add a clear drying liquid adhesive (I used Glossy Accents) to only one section (at a time) of the image and generously sprinkle on your first color of glitter

Dump the remaining white glitter back into its container then add the glue to a different section of the image and use a different color glitter.

Do this process until the entire image is covered and set aside to dry.  There's no way to speed up the drying time because a heat tool would melt the transparency but it actually dries pretty quickly.
For this project I used only two colors of glitter but of course you can use however many you want.

While waiting for the dove to dry I stamped the branch and sentiments and added a couple of
Once the dove was dry I fussy cut it out and adhered it with glue dots behind the darker blue glitter portions and along the black stamped line.
I love how the branch design peeks through the stained glass.

It's really sparkly and pretty in real life, I'd love to see your version of the stained glass technique...

Oh Pink Abstract Christmas Tree

I'm loving this Abstract Christmas tree stamp and all the sentiments it has with it.
There are countless combinations of holiday sayings you can create with this set.

I stamped the tree onto watercolor paper with versmark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Using SU! reinkers I squeezed out a couple drops each of regal rose, gumball green and so saffron onto a palette to have them ready to go.  Then I spritzed the paper with plain water from a spray bottle and got it pretty wet.  Then I dipped a wet paint brush into one of the reinker colors and just touched it to the paper letting the ink float to wherever it wanted to.  Then did the same with the two other colors.  Once it was dry I hand cut the tree which was super easy to do because of the straight lines on this image

I stamped the sentiment that I wanted and cut each word out individually popping them up with foam tape.  The tree is also on foal tape.  To complete the card I added a bakers twin bow and a few sequins, then mounted it onto a pretty in pink card base.

All it took was ONE stamp set and a couple accessories (that you probably already have) to make this pretty pink Christmas card.

Oh Holy Night

Oh Holy Night is my favorite Christmas carol and was my inspiration for this stamp set.
What's your favorite Christmas carol?

I started off by stamping the baby Jesus onto watercolor paper and used SU! ink to watercolor it.  Then I masked it off and used a sponge to color in the sky and ground.  I stamped the star with silver Encore ink after I sponged on the yellow "glow" and added a rhinestone to the center.

I stamped the palm fronds, halo and sentiment with Versafine black ink and water colored in the shadowing under and around baby Jesus.
For a finishing touch I took a wet paintbrush and just touched it in random areas within the night sky to make the stars.

Snowman Tidings

Yippeee, it's new release day at Whimsy Stamps and that means that last months CAS set is now available for purchase!  So here it is, the new Snowman Tidings stamp set making it's debut for all our snowman fans out there to enjoy :o).

I stamped the main images and sentiment with black Stazon ink onto kraft cardstock.  This set also has a matching Snowman Tidings die set but I didn't use it on this card, you can find that here.  The cardinal was stamped with SU! real red ink and I used SU! markers to color in the hat and nose.

I used a SU! blender pen and white craft ink to lightly color in the snowman and tree.  For the snow I tore off the top edge of white card stock then glued it onto the kraft cs.  I globed on some tombow glue and sprinkled it with dazzling diamonds glitter.  Then I mounted it onto a black mat then on a cherry card base.  The ribbon is from my never ending ribbon stash/scraps.

Paw Trail to Heaven

I just realized I never posted this card (DER).  Here's a clean and simple card made with

I water colored the background with distress inks on bristol watercolor paper, then sprinkled a little water on it while it was still wet to create the soft water spots.  Once dry I cut it out using a stitched rectangle die and stamped the paw trail and sentiment.

I wanted the paws to have kind of a marble look so I stamped them once with a light blue.  Then without cleaning my stamp off I sponged on a darker blue in random areas and stamped it again. That's one of the many great things about clear stamps super easy to line up wherever you want them.

The clouds were stamped on white card stock and fussy cut, I added some blue Copic (B00) on the edges and a little glitter too. Two clouds were adhered directly to the card and two were added on foam tape for dimension.
