Farmhouse Thank You

I love anything farmhouse and for today's card I'm using some of our Whimsy Stamps Farmhouse Collection products for my thank you card.

I started out with a white card matte and sponged on some light brown ink all across the bottom. Then I used a darker brown ink and sponged on the pattern using the Farmhouse Basket stencil.

I stamped the Farmhouse Wreath above the basket area and colored it with Copic markers. Then stamped the sentiment inside. You can build all kinds of custom sentiments with this set and mix-n-match with the Farmhouse Vases set too.

I used the Farmhouse Vases set and stamped some of the twigs randomly near the basket line.  Then stamped the vase on a separate piece of paper, colored it with Copic markers, hand-cut it out and popped it up with foam tape.
I matted everything into a kraft colored card base to complete my farmhouse thank you card.

Delightful Daisies

I love the new Delightful Daisies rubber background stamp from Whims Stamps, it also can be a sunflower stamp too ;o) which is my favorite flower.  What's your favorite flower?

I heat embossed the Delightful Daisies background with white embossing powder on watercolor paper.  Then I used distress inks to watercolor the flowers.

The gingham ribbon is a sneak peek from the upcoming Paper Door kit that will be releasing on September 10th so be sure to stay tuned for that ;).

To give this card a country farmhouse feel I used the Farmhouse Shiplap background stamp for the woodgrain on the bottom of the card.  And the perfect country feeling font for the sentiment is from the Farmhouse Wreaths clear stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and I hope you are having fun with all the exciting new Whimsy Stamps products released this month!

Manure Happens

Well, that's one of the nicer ways of putting it isn't it - lol?!  For this card I started out with a white piece of card stock and sponged on some green ink with the Farmhouse Greenery stencil.  Then I wrapped around some gingham ribbon (from my stash) and matted onto a black card base.

The cow and sentiment are from the Farmhouse Vases set and were simply stamped in black ink.

Hope you enjoyed this play on words using the Farmhouse Vases stamp set.  Have a great day!

PAPER DOOR Thank You

I have another PAPER DOOR Beaucoup Bouquet idea to share with you today.  There are like a gazillon projects ideas floating around with this kit to give you lots of inspiration.

The sentiment is from Farmhouse Wreaths and I think it turns this card into a totally different look.  The Beaucoup Bouquet flowers work with all kinds of different sentiments and fonts.

The flower and leaves were colored with the distress inks that come in the July PAPER DOOR kit and I cut them out with the matching dies also included.

I stamped the flowers two additional times, colored them then hand cut the two smaller center portions and popped them up on foam tape.  This gives the flowers lots of dimension.

The white panel was cut using a Wavy Edgers die.   And the luscious blue paper is included in the kit. The July Beaucoup Bouquet PAPER DOOR kit is available only for a few more days (until 7/25) once it's gone it's gone for good.  You can get your PAPER DOOR and the other products used on this project at Whimsy Stamps.

Sweet & Salty Meets Farmhouse Vases

Are you enjoying all of the new Whimsy summer products, I know I am?  For my post today I've made a shaker card and have combined the NEW Sweet and Salty set with (whodathunkit) one of the Farmhouse Collection sets called Farmhouse Vases.  I think these two unlikely sets are a great match for each other ;) what do you think?

I stamped the mason jar from Farmhouse Vases and hand cut it out.  Then I sponged on some blue ink using the Making Waves stencil (such a cool stencil that has 3 different wave options).  Once I had the waves stenciled I stamped the seaweed which is also from the Farmhouse Vases set.  The Sweet and Salty mermaid was stamped and then I used a white gel pen to dot on the waterline following the stencil path.

I used the Shaker Maker Combo Die for my shaker circle and some of the pretty Star Spangled sequins for the inside.
The dotted texture on the white background is from the Falling Dots embossing folder.

Have a great day!

Farmhouse Vases and Wreaths

If you love farmhouse as much as I do be sure to check out the Whimsy Stamps Farmhouse Collection.  For my post today I've combined Farmhouse Vases with Farmhouse Wreaths and a sprinkling of Farmhouse Greenery stencil too.  There are rubber background stamps, clear stamp sets and a couple of stencils in this collection.  Its the perfect match for us farmhouse loving stampers ;o) and for the farmhouse lovin' peeps we want to make cards for.

To start this project I used the super cool Straight Edger dies to create the stitched border around the card base.  Then I stamped the Farmhouse Wreath with Memento London Fog ink and colored it with Copic markers.

The sentiment from Farmhouse Wreaths was stamped with Versafine black ink for a nice crisp image.

Then I used some green ink on green cardstock to stencil on the Farmhouse Greenery grass.  I glued it onto the card base leaving a little of the top portion without glue so I could tuck in the milk jug.  The milk jug is from Farmhouse Vases and I stamped it with grey ink and hand cut it out.

The cows (I love cows) are also from Farmhouse Vases, the little one was stamped directly on the card base and the big one was stamped with black ink on a scrap of white cardstock and hand cut out.

Oh and the big cow is popped up on foam tape for some added dimension.
Hope you have a sweet day every day :o).
