CAUTION! Dog Slobber

Today is National PUPPY Day!
Proceed with CAUTION there's Dog Slobber ahead...

This little guy from the Caution Dog Slobber clear stamp set is just so happy, his silly expression makes me smile! You can see another card I made using this set HERE.

I stamped him with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink on Canson cold pressed watercolor paper and used Faber Castell watercolor pencils to color him.  Then die-cut him out with the matching Caution Dog Slobber die set.

I stamped the sign and sentiment with the same ink and actually just cut that out by hand but there is a matching die included in the die set for that too.

I then stamped the caution sign 3 more times and hand cut just the top caution part on all 3 of them. I glued 2 of them under the dog and the third one I popped up on foam tape and put on the sign for some dimension. And of course I had to add a little glitter to his tongue and drool - lol

The dog and triangle are popped up on foam tape for dimension too. And to finish I glued onto a dark pink matte and then to a dark brown card base.

I hope you are enjoying National Puppy Day with your furbabies?!

Firefighter HEROES

Yes they are, total heroes and the new stamp set HEROES from Whimsy Stamps honors many of our first responders. We woke up to a fire in our neighborhood this morning, smoke is everywhere, thank God for these angels who put their life on the line everyday.

For my card base I stamped the Farmhouse Shiplap background with a dark brown ink onto a chocolate brown cardstock.

Using the new HEROES stamps set I stamped the helmet first then mask it off and stamped the fire hydrant both with Versafine black ink.  The sentiment was also stamped with Versafine black ink.
I'm not too keen with the pinkish helmet shield but I tried fixing it and it just got worse (lol) so I just decided to live with it.

Then I used Faber-Castell watercolor pencils (on Canson cold pressed water color paper) to watercolor my images.  Then glued it to the card base.  Then used one of the Straight Edgers dies to add the stitching along the sides.

THANK YOU to all of our HEROES and their families who put their life on the line for our safety.

Thanks for stopping by...see you soon,

Sending Hugs Bunny

For today's post I have another Hugs Bunny card for you with more of the Gingham Background and introducing the new Sprinkles Stencil.

To start off with I stamped the Gingham Background (my new favorite stamp) onto white card stock with SU! Pumpkin Pie ink.

For the top portion of the card I cut a small  rectangle of white card stock and used an eye shadow sponge dipped into ink pads to selectively color the Sprinkles stencil so it looked like little carrots.  This is a really fun stencil and I can see it being  great for so many different types of card backgrounds.

I glued the sprinkles portion on top of the Gingham panel then stamped the sentiment, cut it out and popped it up with foam tape.

The vanilla ribbon is from March's PAPER DOOR kit (stay tuned for the new April kit debuting this Tuesday 4/10/18).  I wrapped the ribbon around the gingham/sprinkles layer and tied a bow then mounted it onto a white card base.

The Hugs Bunny images were stamped in Versafine black ink and I used Faber-Castell watercolor pencils to color them.  I added a white pom pom for the bunnies big tail.

My last step was to adhere the flower pot directly to the card and I popped the bunny/bear image up on foam tape for added dimension.

Would you like to make your own version of this project?  You can SHOP NOW or click on the product images below for details about these and other stamps, dies and more available at the Whimsy Stamps store.
