Stained Glass Village

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I know I say it every time that I share a post with one of our Stained Glass rubber stamps but I just love coloring these! They remind me of paint by numbers and they make Copic marker coloring that much easier too!
All you need to do is stamp the image, color it and matte it onto a card base, you don't need embellishments or anything. Today I'm using the Stained Glass Village stamp and you can check out all the entire Stained Glass rubber stamp collection HERE.

Technically Glamour Dust glitter (my fav glitter) would be considered an embellishment but still, these stamps are soooo easy!

And just a reminder that the 50% off retiring sale at Whimsy Stamps ends on 12/31/18...that's 50% off even the sale prices! Don't miss out on some of your favorite products which will be gone for good as of midnight 12/31/18!

Be sure to add the code WhimsyRetire50 at check out, discount applies only to retiring products. Click HERE to shop all retiring products.

Wishing you and yours a New Year filled with blessings.

GingerSnaps Over Christmas Carols

I'm right there with you Gingy...hang in there it's almost over until next year - lol!

This card was really fun to make! For the background I used the peppermint candy image from the GingerSnaps clear stamp set and the Brushed Stripes rubber background.

I stamped all the GingerSnaps images and colored them with Copic markers. Then added some highlights to the candies with a white gel pen.

The sentiment was stamped and then cut out using one of the Card Builder Windows dies. I popped it up on foam tape for some dimension.

Poor Gingy, he'll be glad when it's over. Be sure to check out all the other fun sentiments included in the GingerSnaps clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.

BTW, there's a big 50% off clearance SALE on all retiring Whimsy Stamps products good through 12/31/18. Once they're gone they're gone for good!

Stained Glass Christmas Tree MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas I hope it's a blessed holiday for all. And on this special day I'm sharing an easy card using the Stained Glass Christmas Tree rubber stamp.

The Stained Glass rubber stamp collection from Whimsy Stamps makes coloring super easy, it's almost like color by numbers - lol. You just stamp the image and color with your favorite color medium then matte it onto a card base. You really don't need embellishments or anything they are so pretty just on their own.

My favorite coloring medium is usually watercolor but for the Stained Glass stamps I find that I always use my Copic markers

And since this is a Christmas card I thought I'd add a pretty layer of silver glitter paper to make it even more festive.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!

Holly Jolly My Butt

Boy, Santa sure looks thrilled about his job doesn't he?!

I stamped the Holly Jolly My Butt images with Memento black ink so I could safely color them with Copic markers. It's important to use the right kind of ink with copic markers or you can ruin them.

The Christmas tree branches in this set are pretty cool, you can "build" your tree however tall you'd like it to be and add the ornaments where you'd like too. And of course you have to have a couple of presents under the tree as well.

And last but not least I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a retired word bubble die. Check out all the funny sentiments in the Holly Jolly My Butt set and give your friends and family some giggles when they receive their Christmas card from you.

Glory to God with Two Different Looks

I'm sharing with you today two totally different looks from the same Glory to God stamp set.

For my first card I stamped the main image onto watercolor paper then stamped the image a second time onto a sticky note, hand cut it out and masked it on top of the card image.

Then I sponged on Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink all around the edges. Once I had the sponging done I used plain water and a paintbrush to flick on some random water drops.

Once that was dry I removed the sticky note mask and used distress inks to watercolor the image.

When that was dry I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder and added some Glamour Dust glitter to the halos.

For my second card I simply stamped the Glory to God holy city with blue ink and the stars with silver Delicata ink.

I stamped the sentiment and added a clear rhinestone to the star for a little added shine.

So there you have it two totally different looks with the same Glory to God stamp set.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Three Different Dash Away Ideas

All three of the of the projects I'm sharing with you today are using the Dash Away set which has been really popular. Right now it's sold out in the Whimsy store, but more will be in stock soon!

This CAS (clean and simple) card was super easy and there are zero embellishments so no worries about sending through the mail. I just used different color inks and matted onto a red card base and it was done. Soooo easy especially if you have lots of Christmas cards to make or need some quick last minute cards.

My next project was a little more involved but the Shaker Maker Glitter Globe die made it quick and easy too. Plus it's not only a Christmas card but it can be used as a Christmas ornament too. I love how all the Dash Away images work perfectly inside the Glitter Globe.

And my last card is another CAS card using the Dash Away set along with the You're My Jolly set. I used a glitter embossing powder on the main sentiment to make it sparkly. And the ribbon and green glitter paper are from a prior Paper Door kit.

Keep a look out for new Paper Door kits coming out again starting January 10, 2019, we have lots of exciting things to share with you.

Have a GREAT day!

GingerSnaps Muffin Man

Have you seen the Whimsy Stamps Ginger Snaps stamp set yet? If you like the movie Shrek this clear stamp set is sure to give you some giggles. I can almost hear Gingy and his squeaky little voice, "do you know the muffin man?...".

I stamped gingy and masked him off then used the Brick Stencil and lightly sponged on the brick wall. After I had the wall done I sponged on some clouds using the Grass and Cloud Edgers dies. I also used the Grass and Cloud Edgers die to cut the grass border.

I removed the mask and colored gingy with Copic markers then added some Enamel Dots (Christmas Cheer) which made perfect gumdrop buttons!

I stamped the sentiment and used a retired word bubble die popped up on foam tape.

I stamped the peppermint candies and used a circle punch to cut them out.
Then matted everything onto a black card base to complete my card.

I hope Ginger Snaps made you smile and I hope you have a GREAT day!
