Merry Abstract Christmas

I posted a Fall card last so I thought I'd share with you a Christmas card today using my new stamp set Abstract Christmas.  I know there are year round Christmas fans out there (like us year round Halloween fans) I hope this helps inspire you to start on your Christmas cards soon.

I used white embossing powder to emboss the tree onto watercolor paper.  Then I heavily wet the paper down and used distress ink to "float" the color allowing it to go wherever it wanted.  Once the paper was dry (yes I used a heat gun to speed p the process) I then went back in with more distress ink in the same color but less diluted with water and just touched it into random circles on the tree.

I added diamond rhinestones to random circles which look much better in real life...they really twinkle ;).  I matted the panel onto an evergreen base and popped it up with foam tape.

I used my Misti tool to stamp the sentiments so they were perfectly spaced along the edges of the white card base.  There are countless combinations for all the Christmas sentiments in this stamp set!
