Bunny Buddies Birthday Wishes

Aren't these little bunnies so sweet, this clear stamp set is called Bunny Buddies and is part of the Whimsy Stamps April new release.

The color combo for this card was inspired by the TV show Big Bang Theory, it's the colors from Howard and Bernadette's living room decor - lol

Whimsy Stamps has a great collection of rubber background stamps that give just the right amount of texture to complement so many styles of stamps. I love our background stamps as they basically make your own custom patterned paper in which you're only limited by your imagination.
So for my two backgrounds (the pocket and the area behind the bunnies) I'm using the Burlap background and the Messy Mesh background.

I stamped the Burlap BG in navy blue ink onto a denim blue card stock. Then stamped the Bunny Buddies and hand cut out just the pocket, then stamped the wrinkles onto the pocket.

I stamped the bunnies again onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers, then hand cut them out, cutting off the pocket below them.

I lined the bunnies up behind the pocket and taped them into place leaving the little paw and ear over the pockets edge. I added foam tape to the back and placed on the Messy Mesh background. Then I added foam to the back of the heart and placed that on the pocket for even more dimension.

The blue frame was cut using the Rectangle Shaker Maker die (a staple die that I use often).

There are several sentiments in the Bunny Buddies set that can be combined for different occasions so I chose "Birthday Wishes" and stamped that onto one of the Quick Strips dies (another staple die I use ALL the time;). Then lastly I matted everything onto a sand colored card base.

I hope you have a great day!

Whimsy Bunny Balloons

Bunny Balloons is such a cute stamp set that has several different sentiments.  But for this card I decided to use the Wonderland Words die set because this card feels so "WHIMSYcal" ;).
I started out with Falling Dots embossing folder on a white card matte.

The Bunny Balloon image was stamped once on the card and then once again on a scrap white card stock the extra stamped bunny was hand cut out and popped up on foam tape.  I used colored pencils to color the image.

I used the circle die from the Shaker Maker Combo and glued it flat.  The Wonderland Word "Whimsy" was cut from some left over PAPER DOOR purple glitter card stock and that was also glued flat.  Then matted onto a black card base.
Have a Whimsy day :O)!

Sending Hugs Bunny

For today's post I have another Hugs Bunny card for you with more of the Gingham Background and introducing the new Sprinkles Stencil.

To start off with I stamped the Gingham Background (my new favorite stamp) onto white card stock with SU! Pumpkin Pie ink.

For the top portion of the card I cut a small  rectangle of white card stock and used an eye shadow sponge dipped into ink pads to selectively color the Sprinkles stencil so it looked like little carrots.  This is a really fun stencil and I can see it being  great for so many different types of card backgrounds.

I glued the sprinkles portion on top of the Gingham panel then stamped the sentiment, cut it out and popped it up with foam tape.

The vanilla ribbon is from March's PAPER DOOR kit (stay tuned for the new April kit debuting this Tuesday 4/10/18).  I wrapped the ribbon around the gingham/sprinkles layer and tied a bow then mounted it onto a white card base.

The Hugs Bunny images were stamped in Versafine black ink and I used Faber-Castell watercolor pencils to color them.  I added a white pom pom for the bunnies big tail.

My last step was to adhere the flower pot directly to the card and I popped the bunny/bear image up on foam tape for added dimension.

Bunny Balloons and Spring Flowers

Here's a cute little bunny birthday (or any occasion) card made with the new release clear stamp set called Bunny Balloons coupled with the new release Spring Flowers background stamp.  And complemented by the super cool new Edger dies (which have flown out the door) that were released last month.

I first stamped the Spring Flowers with some aqua colored ink onto a white card matte.

I used the killer cool Straight Edgers Die (one of my new favorite must have's) to cut at an angle some aqua card stock and glued it across the Spring Flowers background then onto a white card base.

Then I stamped the Bunny Balloons image with Memento (London Fog) ink and colored it with my Copic markers.  Then added some Glamour Dust to the balloons for just a hint of bling.

I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Clair (Morning Mist) ink and cut it out with a circle die.  I popped the bunny image and the sentiment up with foam tape for a little added dimension.
I hope you enjoy today!

Favorite Hugs Bunny

The new Hugs Bunny (get it - like Bugs Bunny but it's HUGS Bunny - tee hee) clear stamp set just released from Whimsy Stamps goes perfectly with their new 6x6 rubber Gingham background.  I love the sizing on the gingham pattern, it's just right to make it look like patterned paper.  And HUGS are always the right size aren't they :o)?!

I started out with the Gingham background and stamped it with pink ink onto white card stock.

The top portion of the card was cut using the oh-so-pretty Envelope Edger die set.

The Hugs Bunnies were stamped with Versafine ink and I used Faber-Castell watercolor pencils to color them.  The cardstock I used is called Shimmery White and is from SU!
The sentiment was stamped using the new Versafine CLAIR Morning Mist ink which is amazing.

I know this really isn't an Easter card but there are bunnies on it so I guess that's close enough ;).  Wishing everyone a blessed and HAPPY EASTER.
