Christmas Angel Blessings

Here's a sweet new stamp set called Angel Blessings released this past week at Whimsy Stamps.  The set is versatile for several occasions including, birthday, Easter, St. Patty's Day and more.  Today I made a Christmas card with it.  It's really a great all-occasion stamp set and the new Peaceful Words die set complements it beautifully.

I started with a Hand Stitched Rectangle  and stamped the angel, wand and star with Stazon black ink.  This set is really fun because there are lots of options for the wand or decorating the angel's dress...I love having lots of options with my stamp sets!

I used Prismacolor pencils with a blending stump and (unscented) baby oil to color the angel.  You first color with the pencils then use the stumps dipped lightly into baby oil and go back over what you colored to blend the colors smoother.
For the star I stamped it onto gold glitter paper and hand cut it out and glued it to the wand.
The sentiment was cut using the Peaceful Words die set from the same gold glitter paper.

I embossed the Christmas sentiment with gold embossing powder, then cut it at an angle (that's angle not angel) and popped it up with foam tape.  Then mounted the whole thing onto a white card base with foam tape too.
