GingerSnaps Muffin Man

Have you seen the Whimsy Stamps Ginger Snaps stamp set yet? If you like the movie Shrek this clear stamp set is sure to give you some giggles. I can almost hear Gingy and his squeaky little voice, "do you know the muffin man?...".

I stamped gingy and masked him off then used the Brick Stencil and lightly sponged on the brick wall. After I had the wall done I sponged on some clouds using the Grass and Cloud Edgers dies. I also used the Grass and Cloud Edgers die to cut the grass border.

I removed the mask and colored gingy with Copic markers then added some Enamel Dots (Christmas Cheer) which made perfect gumdrop buttons!

I stamped the sentiment and used a retired word bubble die popped up on foam tape.

I stamped the peppermint candies and used a circle punch to cut them out.
Then matted everything onto a black card base to complete my card.

I hope Ginger Snaps made you smile and I hope you have a GREAT day!

So DONE with the Holidays!

This sentiment could be my mantra all year long - lol! If you want some more giggles check out the other funny sentiments included in the Holly Jolly My Butt clear stamp set.

I stamped the Holly Jolly My Butt Santa image onto Bristol cold pressed water color paper and used Distress Inks to color it. The image was cut out with the largest oval from the Basic Stitched Oval die set.

I used the Brushed Stripes cling rubber background stamp for the "candy cane" stripes in the background.

Santa may not be enjoying this particular stop on his route but it sure looks like that little dog is!

and of course last but not least I stamped the sentiment and matted everything onto a brown card base.

How about you, are you DONE with the holidays or do you still want more?

Elegant Gifts Times Two

Have you seen the Elegant Gifts clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps? It's a pretty set that allows you to build all kinds of gift packages and "wrapping paper" for several different occasions and it's on sale right now.

Today I have two versions to share with you for my first card I coupled it with a rubber background stamp called Lattice Background.

For the gifts on my first card I just used black ink on different colored cardstock, quick and easy.

And for my second card I used gold embossing powder on black cardstock for slightly more Elegant Gifts. Also quick and easy but two different looks.

The gold and black one has lots of dimension the bows in this set.

Which one is your favorite?

Cozy Wonderland

I'm sharing a cozy little card with you today using the NEW Cozy Blanket rubber background and the NEW Dash Away clear set along with a couple of our dies too.

I first stamped the Cozy Blanket with brown ink onto a kraft card stock, then used the second largest Stitched Oval die to cut out the center.

On a light blue card stock I stamped my little houses and trees with the Dash Away set. This set has all kinds of options to build your own little cities, and towns.

I used the Stitched Border trio die to cut the snow hill. The Wonderland word die set (currently on sale) was cut out twice and stacked to give it a little more dimension. These word dies are delicate and can very easily be shaped to curve however you want them to or they can be kept straight as shown in this post HERE.

Are you warm and cozy in a winter wonderland? I'm in SW Florida and right now it's in the 40's which for me is FREEZING...I'm breaking out all the blankets I can find!

Glory to God - Faux Masking

There are so many Whimsy stamp sets that work great with our Peekaboo Window dies and the new Glory to God clear set is totally perfect for it.

I cut out a white Peekaboo Window 2 die from white card stock and then hand cut navy blue card stock into pieces that were slightly larger than each window opening. I find this way is easier than trying to position images inside the windows on a full piece of card stock. Once I had my navy pieces cut out I stamped and embossed in silver each of the panels (except for the baby Jesus image).

For the main image I used a faux masking technique (this is a really difficult technique...not!). This is so easy, first I stamped the image on white card stock using Memento black ink then colored it with Copic markers. I let the image dry for a couple of minutes before moving on to my next step. For my next step I chose a copic color (B99) that was as close as possible to my navy card stock and colored all around the image to fill in the background. It's that's easy, no fussy cutting or masking at all.

I love this sentiment and enjoyed making the word art for all the sentiments in this set, you can see all of them HERE. And to finish my card I just taped each image piece in their applicable windows then added foam tape to the entire back of the piece and adhered it onto a navy card base.

Hope you enjoyed this quick faux masking technique post and I hope you have a glorious day!

Copic Colors Used: B99, B97, B41, Y11, Y13, E00, E13, E27, E43
