Ginger Snaps - SAVAGES!

Poor ol' Ginger Snaps, his legs are doomed to be dunked in a glass of milk - LOL!

Have you seen the NEW Ginger Snaps stamp set that just came out? It's a fun clear stamp set that is sure to give your friends and family some giggles.

I heat embossed Gingy with white embossing powder on a dark brown cardstock and filled in the icing with a white gel pen. Now that I see it filled in I kind of wish I left it alone (ha). I cut him out by hand and added some green brads as his buttons.

I used the Brushed Stripes background for the red and white stripes on the edge and used the heart die from the Straight Edgers die set.

The background tags are from the Tombstone Tags die set and I just sponged on some ink around the edges.

The sentiment was stamped with a dark brown Versafine Clair (acorn) ink. To finish my card I popped Gingy up on foam tape to give him a little more dimension.

I hope the Ginger Snaps stamp set gives you some giggles this holiday season. I'll be sharing more blog posts for inspiration using this stamp set in December too.

Forever FALL

It is still Fall isn't it? I wouldn't know because I live in perpetually green SW Florida (sigh) and while it has it's own beauty my heart yearns for a real FALL.

For today's post I'm using a variety of Whimsy Stamps products combining the Tear Drop Splash Stencil, Wavy Edgers dies, Bold ABC dies, Gingham Background stamp and You're My Always clear stamp set.

I used the Teardrop Splash stencil and sponged on Fall ink colors on vanilla card stock.
Then I stamped the Gingham Background with a pumpkin colored ink (also on vanilla card stock) and cut the letters out with the Bold ABC dies. After I cut them out I sponged on more ink around the edges and popped them up with foam tape.

The top piece was cut using the Wavy Edgers die set and I just added some twine and a button to the top before I glued it onto the stenciled piece.

The "forever" sentiment is from the You're My Always clear stamp set that has all kinds of combinations of words to create custom sentiments.

I mounted everything onto an olive colored card base to complete my card.
I hope you are enjoying the Fall wherever you may be.
Have a GREAT day!

Paper Door Glitter Globe Snowman Shaker

Of course I couldn't not make a shaker card with the NEW Glitter Globe PAPER DOOR kit. This kit is great for shaker cards and has three different shaker elements included. So for my snowman Glitter Globe I decided to go with the obvious "snowballs".

The main images were colored with Copic markers and then cut out using the matching dies.
I also love the water bubbles images included in the Glitter Globe stamp set, they make the snow globe effect even more realistic.

I used the Polka Dot stencil for the the blue dots in the background, this is a great stencil, it can be  snowflakes or just for fun polka dots.

This was a really fun card to make, I think I say it every month but this just might be my favorite kit so far. If you haven't tried out the PAPER DOOR kits yet, this is a great one...there's so much fun in this box, I'm lovin' it and I bet you will too!

Paper Door Glitter Globe Acorn

For today's NEW Glitter Globe PAPER DOOR post I have a twist on how to use the globe die. I turned our wintery, snow globe into a big acorn, kinda cool huh?!

The acorn is simply the globe die turned upside down and the top is the globe base turned upside down. After I die cut the globe base I used the Wire Fence embossing folder to give it some texture. Then inked all the edges and just hand cut a scrap for the stem.

The sentiment is from the Holiday Occasions clear set

And I used the Shiplap Background for, you guessed it, the background ;)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Glitter Globe Paper Door Christmas Tree Trio

This was a really quick and easy card using the Glitter Globe PAPER DOOR kit and it looks oh so sparkly in real life.

I used the gorgeous silver paper from the PAPER DOOR kit and cut out the frame with the Rectangle Shaker Maker die.

I also used the glittery pink cardstock and Glitter Globe matching dies (both included in the kit) to cut out the trees.
The sentiment is from the Favorite Flake clear stamp set released this month too.
